World Suicide Prevention Day 2012
CAPAOC in conjunction with Living Rock Ministries will be honoring World Suicide Prevention Day this year with a Dove release and Commemorative Tree ceremony at Dundas Driving Park, Dundas, Ontario.

If you have lost someone you love, family member or friend to suicide, please join us at 5 p.m sharp at Grafton Square in downtown Dundas (not downtown Hamilton) at 2 King Street West on Saturday September 8th, 2012.

World Suicide Prevention Day - September 10th, 2011

This day promotes worldwide commitment and action to prevent suicides. In 2011, CAPAOC helped to organize Live4Life:  Concert for a Cause featuring artists performing in four venues across Halton region to raise awareness about suicide prevention.  More information about the event can found at

International Survivors of Suicide Day - the 3rd Saturday of November
On this day, survivors of suicide loss come together at hundreds of local healing conferences in cities around the world and online for mutual support and practical guidance on coping with grief. CAPAOC participated in organizing the Day of Remembrance event held at Bay Gardens in Hamilton, Ontario in 2011.  Check their website to find out about International Survivors of Suicide Day 2012 events.

COAST - Crisis Outreach and Support Team
COAST is a mobile crisis team made up of Crisis Workers who can assist in a mental health-related crisis situation. If someone is in immediate crisis or emergency call 911 or if in crisis and needing support contact COAST.
